Minutes of the Board of Trustees of the Indian Renaissance Institute held at NOIDA on 24 September 2023

 

The meeting was attended by the following Trustees and special invitees:

The meeting was presided over by Shri Vinod Jain. It was informed that Dr. Ramesh Awasthi, Bhaskar Sur, Dr. Ms. Anjali Chakraborty, Apurba Dasdgupta, and Nazimuddin S.K. had expressed their inability to attend the meeting for personal reasons and Veeranna Gumma was unable to come because of health reasons.

 

  1. Then the Board of Trustees held the election of the office bearers. The following office bearers were elected unanimously:

 

  1. Chairman – Vinod Jain
  2. Vice-Chairmn – Rajender Kumar Sharma
  3. Vice-Chairman – Ved Prakash Arya
  4. Secretary – Mahi Pal Singh
  5. Treasurer – Sheoraj Singh

 

The new Board of Trustees then held its first meeting. It was presided over by Shri Vinod Jain, Chairman. First of all it Co-opted the following members for the next term:

Presentation of the minutes of the last Board of Trustees Meeting by the Secretary: The Secretary, Mahi Pal Singh presented the minutes of the last BoT meeting held on 23.4.2023 for confirmation and was confirmed unanimously.

 

Then the following resolutions were presented and after discussion were passed unanimously:                                  

 

                                   Resolution 2023/4

“Resolution on formation of the Office Bearers’ Committee of the IRI and authorisation to work on behalf of the IRI

It is hereby resolved unanimously in this meeting of the Board of Trustees held today at NOIDA, that the committee of the five office-bearers, namely, the Chairman, the two Vice-Chairmen, the Secretary, and the Treasurer is formed and authorised to conduct necessary negotiations for out of court settlement of the case and take all decisions regarding the 13 Mohini Road court case/cases and implement its decisions on behalf of the Indian Renaissance Institute, and to report its decisions/actions in the next meeting of the Board of Trustees.”                             

                                

 

                                                      Resolution 2023/5

 

“It is hereby resolved unanimously in this meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Indian Renaissance Institute held at NOIDA that any two of the following office-bearers will continue to operate Account No. 02070100005296, UCO Bank, Supreme Court Branch, New Delhi in the name of Indian Renaissance Institute (IRI) as before.

                                                     Resolution 2023/6

“It is hereby resolved unanimously in this meeting of the Board of Trustees that the three office-bearers, namely the Chairman, Mr. Vinod Kumar Jain, the Secretary, Mr. Mahi Pal Singh, and the Treasurer, Mr. Sheoraj Singh, are authorised to encash one or more FDRs of the IRI, in case of extreme financial exigency, to run the affairs of the Indian Renaissance Institute normally and continuously, and to report such transactions in the next meeting of the Board of Trustees for its approval.”

                                               RESOLUTION 2023/7

 

“RESOLVED unanimously by this meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Indian Renaissance Institute held on 24th September, 2023 at NOIDA that the Current Account No. 0349201821034 in Canara Bank, Tota Ram Bazar, Kanhaiya Nagar Branch, Delhi- 110035 in the name of ‘The Radical Humanist’, the monthly magazine published by the Indian Renaissance Institute, shall continue to be operated by any two of the following office bearers of the Indian Renaissance Institute as before:

                                    (3)  Mr. Sheoraj Singh                             Treasurer”

 

 

                                             RESOLUTION 2023/8

 

“Resolution to appoint two Perokars to represent the IRI in various courts in the case of 13 Mohini Road, Dehradun

 

This meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Indian Renaissance Institute held today at NOIDA hereby resolves unanimously to appoint the following two Perokars in place of the earlier arrangement to represent the IRI in court cases pertaining to 13 Mohini Road, Dehradun, Uttarakhand:

  1. Mr. Mahi Pal Singh, Secretary, IRI and
  2. Mr. Sheoraj Singh, Treasurer, IRI

 

They are authorised to sign all necessary papers including out-of-court settlement papers pertaining to the 13 Mohini Road, Dehradun case on behalf of the Indian Renaissance Institute.

 

The advocate/advocates of the IRI may be given a copy of this resolution and asked to file relevant papers in the court for substitution of Perokars in the case.”

 

Next, future programmes were discussed for implementation.
